As a Logo design artist and brand developer I have to understand how many different industries work, what sells in that industry and what’s appealing to the audience of that industry.
For example in the banking industry you wouldn’t want to create a fluffy or bubble looking logotype lettering or design. It would need to be sharp edges, clean, bold and easy to read. So I’m constantly researching and understanding what works and what doesn’t. It’s my job to create a logo and brand identity that’s best for my client’s audience. I’m always leading with the audience and not necessarily with what the client likes. The Appeal of the Audience is what matters.
A logo design should be simple. This makes it easy to remember because there’s less details to remember. Also you won’t have a problem printing or embroidering it on various merchandises or stationary.
