The first of the five processes in drawing is Sketching. Sketching is basically feeling out whatever you’re trying to draw, trying to get an idea of what your drawing and what it will look like. You’re just kind of feeling it out, trying to search with your pencil on how it’s going to look. Finding out how your drawing flows is essential. Getting to the refined drawing is a process.
